At My Dutch Door we aim to provide you with an easy shipping experience. We provide Flat Rate Shipping for our door slabs and pre-hung systems within the 48 contiguous United States.
All doors are securely flat packed to ensure your doors are protected and delivered safe.
We make every effort to ensure shipping prices are accurate at the time of your purchase. However, there may be times that shipping and handling prices may change. We reserve the right to inform you of any additional shipping or handling charges needed to deliver your order. In event you are notified of such change, you have the right to modify and cancel your order for a full refund, within 24 hours of informing you.
Any change of delivery date or change of address must be received in writing and called in to our office within 24 hours of placing the order.
Orders are processed Monday through Friday, between 9:00 am and 5:00 PM PST. My Dutch Door ships from our warehouse in Southern California.
We do not ship to P.O Boxes, AK, HI, PR or military APO/FPO addresses. Please provide a valid physical address for delivery.
Once you make a successful payment and place an order, you will receive an email confirmation that we received the order. You will receive a second email with shipping details once the order is processed and shipped. You may receive more than one email confirmation if your order is fulfilled in multiple shipments.
For security reasons, voice confirmations may be required to validate payments before an order is processed.
Flat Rate Shipping
We provide Flat Rate standard ground shipping within 48 contiguous states.
Estimated Delivery Time
Estimated delivery time starts from the time you place the order, until you accept the item. Total time for shipment includes payment authorization, order processing, manufacturing including painting/staining (in case of custom build), quality checks, and transit time from the carrier.
Rapid Ship: 7 – 10 Business Days
Typically Rapid Ship Doors are in stock in our warehouse and ready to ship once your payments is successfully processed.
Estimated delivery time for Rapid Ship is 7 – 10 business days from date of order clearance. This includes pre-shipment and shipping transit time.
Custom Built Doors: 4 – 8 Weeks
If you order a custom-build Dutch Door, we will proceed to built it according to your specifications. Most pre-hung or finished doors may require custom build or factory finish work.
Step 1 – Pre-shipment
Pre-shipment is the time it takes from placing your order until the door leaves our warehouse. Pre-shipment includes payment authorization and placing the order with our manufacturer. The manufacturer/agent will then deliver the item to our warehouse. On receipt, the item will be carefully checked for quality assurance.
Step 2 – Shipping Transit Time
Shipping transit time is measured from the time the door leaves our warehouse until it is delivered to your address or the authorized shipping destination.
Lead times for custom build doors include pre-shipment and shipping transit, are typically between;
- 4-6 weeks for unfinished (not painted or stained), and
- 6-8 weeks for pre-finished doors
Lead times are approximate. Delivery is subject to delay due to external factors.
Shipping and Handling
You will be provided with the shipping carrier name and tracking number once the item is shipped.
Your door will be delivered using truck freight shipping. You may be contacted by the shipping company to schedule delivery. It is your responsibility to coordinate with the shipping company and ensure that you are present to accept delivery. You are solely responsible for any costs or fees for storage or re-delivery resulting from your inability to take delivery at scheduled time.
Doors will be delivered outside (curbside) to your home or your job site. It is your responsibility to unpack, inspect, move, and install the door system.
Please note that entry doors are heavy. We recommend at least two to three people be present to accept delivery. My Dutch Door does not assume any responsibility or liability for damage to the product or personal injury to anyone or any other issue that may arise due to moving the door from the curbside to the indoor space.
Inspection and claims
Upon receipt of goods, you are solely responsible for inspection of items and note any deficiency or signs of damage in the presence of truck driver. If you find any items missing or damage to the door, you must refuse the freight and note the issue, time, and location in the freight bill.
If you find any damage after the driver has left, it is your responsibility to file a claim with the freight company.
Do note, minor nicks and scratches are not considered a defect.
My Dutch Door is responsible for making payment for the freight company service directly. You need not pay the trucker anything at time of delivery or any other time. Any and all payments made by you to the freight company or its representatives, for any additional or existing services will be at your sole discretion and cost. You agree the My Dutch Door will not refund or reimburse such expenses under any circumstances.
You agree to pay the purchase order amount and additional delivery charges if the delivery address is inaccessible or invalid. My Dutch Door will not be liable for any damages or loss resulting in you picking up the goods direct from the freight company’s terminal or any location other than the final delivery address.
My Dutch Doors is not liable for damages not mentioned in the freight bill. Carefully inspect your order prior to signing the freight receipt. Please note that the trucker will not uncrate or open the package. You will have to open the crate and inspect the contents.
Liability for Non-Delivery
Any liability of Seller for non-delivery of the door(s) shall be limited to replacing the doors(s) within a reasonable time or adjusting the invoice respecting such doors(s) to reflect the actual quantity delivered.
